Expert Witness Services
Supplementary to the referral services offered by Willesley Equine Clinic, Dr Svend E Kold, DrMedVet, CUEW, RFP, MRCVS, RCVS Specialist in Equine Surgery (Orthopaedics), has undertaken an increasing amount of expert witness work since 1998 and has now produced more than eighty expert witness reports as instructed by both claimants and defendants, and as a single expert witness. Dr Kold has, in this role, appeared in court in England, Ireland and Denmark. He has continuously updated his medico-legal knowledge by attending expert witness conferences and other ongoing expert witness training. For this role, Dr Kold has undertaken and obtained:
- Accreditation (by examination) as an Expert Witness from Cardiff University (Bond Solon 5-modular course, 2006)
- Registration with the Council for the Registration of Forensic Practitioners (2005)
Dr Kold’s special expertise involves twenty five years’ specialisation in equine diagnostic and surgical orthopaedics, including diagnostic imaging and prior-to-purchase disputes. He is willing to accept instructions from solicitors in the UK and other European countries.
