Willesley Equine Clinic Ltd.

The Willesley Equine Clinic is a fully equipped centre for the diagnosis and treatment of all medical and surgical conditions, injuries and diseases. The hospital provides specialist and emergency treatment for horses from all over the Southwest of England, South Wales and beyond. Full surgical, diagnostic and intensive care (including level 3 neonatal ICU) facilities are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Willesley is also one of only a few clinics nationwide to have veterinary and nursing staff on site 24 hours a day.

At Willesley we believe that to provide the best service you need experienced clinicians and caring support staff, not just fancy equipment. Orthopaedic cases are examined by Dr Svend Kold MRCVS, an RCVS specialist in orthopaedics and a pioneer in new treatments for degenerative joint disease, and by Oliver Crowe MRCVS. Ollie is the lead surgeon performing the majority of the orthopaedic and soft tissue procedures. He also has a special interest in minimally-invasive surgery. Medical cases are seen by Richard Hepburn MRCVS, one of only a handful of ACVIM diploma holders working in the UK. Richard also oversees the clinic’s referral laboratory.

Working closely with all hospital in and out-patients are two hospital interms. They follow an 18 month program and rotate through the surgical, medicine, stud and ambulatory departments.

Willesley is also an RCVS approved Equine Veterinary Nurse Training Practice.
